Target Setting and Achievement Logging
Ensuring the e-ILP is a relevant and living document.
Young people can set a multitude of targets and make decisions as to which members of staff can access them. This can include staff they come into contact with at all educational and agency establishments, not just their home school. Young people are encouraged to record both academic and non-academic information in their e-ILP.
Where targets are entered, email and optional SMS reminder tools are used to ensure that the e-ILP is a living document used regularly by young people to reflect on their learning.
A Microsoft Word/blogging style interface offers creative tools to insert images, emoticons and videos, and change the font type/size/colour to design bright, interesting and eye-catching entries. Once targets are set they can be discussed with members of staff online using familiar conversational functionality in a safe, secure environment.
As targets are completed students and members of staff can sign them off providing an automatic record of achievement.
